(HealthDay News) -- For many people basking in the warmth of summer, the flu season may seem like a distant memory.

Truth is, the start of the next one is only a month or two away.

The U.S. Veterans Administration reminds us about the possible symptoms of flu:

  • Shortness of breath
  • Pain in the chest or abdomen
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Trouble holding down food and liquids
  • Weakness and fatigue
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
